If you visit John McCain's MySpace page (as of 9am PST Tuesday morning), you will notice an interesting announcement from him. He's apparently reversed his position on gay marriage as well as revealed a bias towards attractive lesbians.

Steve's in the middle of his keynote, but I'm just in love with what the iPhone represents. I'm not super schooled in the fine points, but being able to have something like this is what I've been waiting for.

Talk about dedicated. Annie Milner put in 85 years at the same store. Absolutely amazing to think about in this time of employees jumping ship to new gigs or starting companies at breakneck speed.
An anonymous letter from an US soldier in Iraq that surfaced in October. Found it in the Time.com Stories section. Gets you thinking. Apologies if it's a repeat seed. I looked, but didn't see it.
Frightening image of how information is controlled in North Korea.
Is it me, or are the headlines today a tad eclectic? I just took a look at the Newsvine homepage to read up on the latest flying restrictions for my red-eye flight tonight and saw, a couple headlines down, a lovely story about potentially rabid--now dead--squirrel that bit people …

It's a toss up as to who was less smart, the thief or the driver... One thing is for sure, you don't want to mess with doughnuts when the police get involved.
A fascinating article in NYT Magazine about counter culture branding. It's a long, but insightful read.
I heard about this on the radio on the way home yesterday. According to Billboard, the #1 song on your 18th birthday has had a big impact on your life. Looking up mine, I can't even remember the tune, so I'll have to say that it hasn't impacted me much. Has it you?

It appears that everyone in a leadership role failed in their response to Katrina.
One of my favorite shows growing up is coming to the big screen. Hopefully it will stay true to the spirit of the show and not try to become something it wasn't.
Goodness. That's a lot of scoring...
David Pogue from NY Times with a humorous take on how people communicate online.
Adding DOM inspector functionality to Safari in WebKit. Only for the brave who like to use nightly builds, or if you're command-line savvy and want to enable it. (I haven't done it, but it sure looks nice!)
Kirk McElhearn does a nice explaination of what's going on with the MiniStore that was introduced with the latest update of iTunes.
Apple's filed for a wideranging trademark that makes one wonder what they're going to do next. I'd love to have an Apple-branded mobile device that could use for both music and phone calls. (PIM would be nice too, but I don't use it that much right now to wish for it.)
Sifting through the info I've seen about the new Apple products today and I must say that while I think it's incredible what they've put into the new laptop (I'm wanting to call it a PowerBook...) they seriously screwed up the name.
